Baby - Kid - Teen - Young Adult - NS - ???

Hmm my blog is not dead okay!
... maybe just a little

Well i think most of you know that im currently serving NS
When it comes to NS i know all you little boys and girls will say: 'HAHA Lloyd IS BOTAK!'
BUT! im not really botak.. still got hair ok! in fact its the No.1 Hairstyle in this world =D coz it's called No.1 cut

Talking about NS many people will think 'Ah Soldier' but! tsk told you that im special already =D
I'm not the one who sits in the forest waiting to shoot your enemy (which we should not have any)
I'm not the one who ride a bicycle and roam around your block waiting to catch Hooligans

For i am the hero who looks at you upon the sky ready and waiting to save you and your properties from hazards

I'm A CIVIL DEFENSE PERSONAL!
Claps!

Anyways~ I'm on course now at CDA (Civil Defense Academy)
(Gives you people 5 seconds to boo or jeer)
Ok i know many people thinks that CD is a very slacking and relax job
But I am different, because I'm undergoing training to become a firefighter.
Well whats so difficult about my job then? All I do is just sit in a truck open up the hose, tap the water and spray spray spray until the fire is down...Then maybe expect a little kiss from the neighborhood aunties...

OF CUZ NOT! Unless you want your properties to be all wet and damaged when we leave the scenario.
If you want.. then suggest that CD replace all NSF firefighters with just bangalas.
Y? coz we are Professionals =D

(sorry i can't show any pictures of my training as im not allowed to bring my phone down during training)

Basically we train not to just fight fire.
We can Rescue casualties(with minimal injuries), fight any kinds of fire (House, malls, Tunnels, vehicles(car, motor, OIL TANKS!!) and also the 2nd common forest fire)... basically all fire accidents or ???purpose-lies???
We can also rescue the old lady's cat that is stuck on top of the tree =)

Training :
1st thing a firefighter need is personal protective equipment, that is the Bunker gear (heat resisting suit that includes Helmet and Gloves) *each sold separately batteries not included*
The suit itself is already a tough thing to handle, because if you want to resist heat from the outside you have to also resist heat from the inside... which means our body heat is trapped inside! so of coz it's very hot! i tested on myself while resting during training and my temperature is about 38-40 degrees. =(

2nd the hose, well it's not very heavy without water and pressure but when water and pressure comes... you boys without muscles can get ready to fly with the hose.

3rd the heat, speaking of the heat, as firefighters we need to endure tough waves of heat passing our body... so Ytd we had a endurance test called heat and humidity training.
This whole exercise comes with a set of Full Bunker Gears and BA Set (Oxygen tank and mask and backpack) Weighing almost 20 kg or more...
First we team up as a 4 man party
Then we will carry a 90 kg dummy casualty called 'The Big John' ewwww, well on a stretcher of coz
So once everyone is ready we started carrying the 'casualty' on our shoulder and walk around CDA, approx 800m including slopes...
Next we put down the dummy professionally and run up our famous FURNACE! 9 story high building +1 level to the roof, rest for a minute and run back down.
Followed by hose rolling... that one you need not know too much, coz it's just a very durable and heavy hose and all we do is just roll up the hose with our full 20+ kg load of equipment and squatting to roll it up, release, roll up, release... 2 times
(no no i not complaining *roll eyeballs)
FINALLY the Sauna... Heard of this sentance : You are what you eat!
YES IT's TRUE! Personally i like to eat medium grill chops. So just like myself, the whole team goes into a real sauna room with a temperature that goes up to 80 degrees. ZOMFGSPCA
That's not all! 1 by 1 we will be told by our Officers to arrange a set of 8' Jelly Can weighing 25kg 4 black 4 white in order by command, e.g. b,b,b,w on top w,w,w,b OR 2 corners b,b,w,w w,w,b,b and so on... you get what i mean.
Followed by questions like saying out our name and IC numbers

Well, mental is a major part of our test.
Im feeling very aching now after all the heat tests.
More will come soon, like wearing a TLV suit, or sometimes you see shows whereby people wearing a huge red suit carrying nuclear reactors!
Tear Gas chambers!!
5 More weeks to Pass Out Parade! Gonna train up on my pullups and Standing board jumps

Well many of my camp mates are having break ups with Girlfriend due to Us concentrating too much on our training and neglecting them... Please wake up... if they fail their course and that means recourse which adds another 3 months. During NS when boys turn Man, their loved girls should start being ladies...
Love and be loved =D

Remember!

Gotta go change now! meeting up my baby =D with my stiff and cramp body
